Crested Butte, Colorado
It's time to plan our annual ski trip! Russell and I love to snow ski and we're considering meeting up with our good friends, Greg and Jessica, who live in Colorado. They are avid skiers and actually lived with Russell out in Jackson, WY while he was a ski bum trying to "find himself." Thank goodness I convinced him to come back to MS for law school!
So, has anyone ever been to Crested Butte? How is it? We're hoping to set a date and book something soon. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

On the road again...
This weekend was busy as usual. We witnessed our 3rd win against Gardner Webb in Starkville on Saturday. We got to see some good friends, like Truitt and Sara Beth. Fun was had by all!
On Sunday, Russell and I went over to DeFord & Amy's house so the guys could ride their four wheelers. They also hung Mari Lampton's (DeFord & Amy's little girl) swing so we had to try it out to see if she liked it. I think Bailey liked it just as much she did. She loved to jump up with Mari Lampton in the air. As you can see in the pictures, Mari Lampton loves "Ba-wee." We all went to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat dinner and watch football afterwards.
On Monday, I had to get my oil changed so I decided to let Bailey ride with me. She just loves to ride in the car. This was the first time for me to use this garage and my past experiences involved the guys changing it below the ground of the garage. I had no clue that she would be hoisted in the air! It didn't seem to bother her. She had a bird's eye view of the whole garage.

We're Having a Party!
If you live in the Hernando /Olive Branch /Southaven /Memphis area and are interested in coming to our Address to Impress stationery party in Olive Branch, please contact me (Hillary) at contactus@addresstoimpress.com. Look for your invitation in the mail soon. We're going to have lots of great specials and prizes for those who attend!
Navy Nails
As fall approaches I am drawn towards darker colors. While black cherry nail polishes have been worn by every bad girl model and actress, a new dark shade of nail polish is making its way into the salons. OPI has recently released Russian Navy, a deep-sea indigo, as part of its Russian Collection. Anyone think they can pull this off? I'm just not sure if I'm brave enough! I think I may try some of the other colors like Midnight in Moscow (charcoal with a hint of maroon glimmer) or Catherine the Grape.

Gossip Girl
Okay, I think I have a new favorite show. It's called Gossip Girl and airs on The CW. It's kind of like the O.C. meets One Tree Hill. If every episode is half as scandalous as the series premiere, I know I'm going to love it!
Oh, and if you missed the premiere, you can basically catch the drama in a 5+ minute video below...

Weekend WIN & Yard Work
I'm just now getting around to posting last weekend's events. I've been a little "under the weather" with a head cold due to all of this beautiful Fall weather we're having. On Saturday, we went over to the Givens to cook out and watch the big WIN with the Mims'. Elizabeth and I attended the Cooper Young Festival while the guys pre-partied with their beer and ribs. We had a great time hanging out in the front yard until late that evening.
We spent all day Sunday tending to yard work. Russell did the hard work by mowing and trimming all of the hedges that I pointed out, while I finally planted a flower bed around my mailbox and pulled the dead flowers and weeds left over from the Spring. I also dressed up the front porch with some fresh mums. I found a coupon for 8" mums in a basket for $2.99 at another store and Lowes matched the price! The maroon mums were not fully bloomed yet but I'm hoping by this weekend they'll be ready for tailgating. I also picked up a new house plant and some baby pumpkins for some indoor decor.

Fall and Football!
It's been cloudy and the highs have been in the low 80's here all week. I can feel the Fall weather around the corner! We've been sleepin' with the windows open at night since it feels so good but that's going to have to stop since I woke up with a cold this morning. Either way, this weather gets me in the mood for football season. I guess I better be since it's Russell's favorite thing to watch Friday through Tuesday. We plan to cheer the Dawgs on at home Saturday against Auburn. I'm a little nervous about how fired up they are after their loss last week.
So, I decided to go ahead and put up my new Fall door decor. I did 'em myself. What ya think? I still have to buy my mums & pumpkins but I figured I'll wait another week or so for them to last.

DAWG tired from New Orleans
Russell took me to New Orleans this weekend for the Tulane victory and to hang out with my best friend Stacey. We all stayed at the historic Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter and had a grand time. Bailey stayed with her cousins Lexi & Brut and was as worn out as us. It was a great weekend filled with plenty of fried food, beer, and beads!
